Samurai Sword – Yasutsugu Miura 1060 High Carbon Steel

This samurai sword is made using traditional folding forging and clay-covering and burning blade technology. The blade is folded and forged 13 times to form 8,192 layers of steel texture, showing a unique ground texture pattern. The swordsmith hand-painted special clay, with a thinner blade and thicker back. The blade quickly cooled during quenching, forming a hard and sharp edge and a flexible and impact-resistant back, while giving the blade a beautiful hamon.

The blade has been hand-polished with multiple whetstones to present a mirror-like luster, and a full tang structure (Full Tang) has greatly improved the overall strength. The sword is equipped with a black lacquered solid wood sheath, with hand-carved dragon patterns, real shark skin wrapped handle rolls, high-grade silk bottom threads, and finely carved copper tanjin, showing the noble temperament of traditional samurai swords.
