Katana – Hosokawa Fujitaka 1060

The Umidori Katana offers exceptional quality at an affordable price. Featuring a hand-forged and polished 1060 carbon steel blade, it is designed for optimal balance and handling. This katana provides a more traditional option compared to the commonly available zinc-aluminum alloy blades. Our steel blades are meticulously crafted to ensure perfect balance, making them ideal for regular use in Iaido and Kenjutsu. By default, the blade comes unsharpened, but customers can opt for a free sharpening service. The sword is equipped with a black lacquered hardwood saya, silk sageo and ito, solid alloy fittings, genuine same’ (rayskin), and a silk-wrapped tsuka (handle). The katana is carefully assembled, with the ito wrapping being tight and even. As each sword is handmade, specifications may vary slightly.
