Katana – 1060 High Carbon Steel Hand Forged Katana

This Katana is meticulously hand-forged and hand-sharpened using traditional Japanese techniques, making it an ideal blade for iaido and kenjutsu practice. The blade undergoes heat treatment, tempering, and oil quenching to achieve the perfect balance of flexibility and hardness. It is then hand-polished with multiple grades of sharpening stones, followed by an oxidation process that gives the blade its distinctive black finish. The Katana comes with a black and red lacquered hardwood saya, silk sageo/ito, solid alloy fittings, and genuine rayskin (same’). The full tang is securely fastened to the handle with two bamboo mekugi. This sword is an excellent choice for dojo students, collectors, cutting practice, or as a display piece. It is durable enough for tameshigiri and cutting bamboo, yet crafted with precision for refined use. Each Katana is individually handmade, so slight variations in specifications may occur.
