Hand-Forged Folded Damascus Steel Blade Katana – Inspired by Iconic Design

This is a meticulously crafted folded steel Katana, designed to resemble Michonne’s iconic sword from *The Walking Dead*. The blade is exceptionally sharp, folded 13 times to create 8,192 layers, resulting in a striking grain pattern that emerges from the repeated folding during the forging process. To achieve the perfect balance of flexibility and hardness, the blade undergoes heat treatment, tempering, and oil quenching. It is then hand-polished using multiple grades of sharpening stones, giving the surface a mirror-like finish.

The Katana comes with a leather-wrapped hardwood saya (scabbard) featuring a shoulder strap, solid alloy fittings, and genuine same (rayskin) for an authentic touch. The full tang is securely fastened into the handle with two bamboo mekugi (pins). This sword is an excellent choice for dojo students, collectors, cutting practice, or as a unique gift. It is robust enough to cut through bamboo yet finely sharpened to slice paper with ease. Each sword is individually handmade, ensuring slight variations in specifications that add to its uniqueness.
