This Japanese samurai sword set includes a Katana, Wakizashi, and Tanto, all meticulously hand-polished for exceptional quality. The full-tang blades are made from 1060 high-carbon steel and hardened through oil quenching. Each blade features a long hi on both sides, reducing weight, providing audible feedback when swung, and optimizing balance for superior performance. The blades undergo a 12-step hand-polishing process, ensuring sharpness and strength—capable of cutting through thick bamboo with a single strike while being sharp enough to slice paper.
The sword set includes finely crafted Musashi-style alloy tsuba (guard), a one-piece brass habaki (blade collar), and two copper seppa (spacers) to secure the tsuba. The fuchi (sleeve) and kashira (buttcap) are also made of alloy for added durability. The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in white genuine samegawa ray skin and coffee-colored chemical fiber ito, tied tightly in the hineri-maki style. It is secured with two bamboo mekugi pins and adorned with two menuki (ornaments). The saya (sheath) is made of hardwood, finished with a reddish-brown and black speckled design.
